2nd Annual STEAM Educators Luncheon

$10 admission (covers lunch and materials, excludes parking)

 

Designed for youth educators, program directors, and community outreach coordinators in Southern California, this annual luncheon showcases examples of STEAM-based programs and research happening at UCI, strategies for incorporating STEAM concepts into the K-12 classroom, and includes discussions about STEAM-based research with professionals in the field. Attendees will be treated to a curator-led walkthrough of the Beall Center for Art + Technology's current exhibition – "Drawn from a Score" - and presentations from campus departments and/or individuals that specialize in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math that can be applied to elementary, middle, and high school curriculum. Luncheon guests will also have networking opportunities during an on-campus lunch hour in the new "Anteatery" cafeteria.

FAQs

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Please note that event address (4000 Mesa Road, Irvine, CA 92697) will navigate to the Mesa Parking Structure - where guests will park before walking to the event location (to be provided at a later date). Parking is $2 per hour in short-term parking spaces, or you can purchase a parking pass for $7 for a half day, or $10 for a full day. Pedestrian signage from the parking structure will guide guests to the appropriate check-in location. There is no free parking on the UCI campus. Please plan on checking in at least 15 minutes prior to the event start time.

 

What can I bring into the event?

A bottle of water, business cards for networking, and something to take notes in are highly recommended. Each guest will receive a packet of information and materials relating to the event speakers and activities, and although lunch will be provided, additional snacks are welcome.

What's the refund policy?

Tickets are non-refundable due to pre-paid meal policies for Anteatery use.

 

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, we will have a check-in list.

 

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Yes, but all transfer requests MUST be made by 11am on December 1, 2017.

 

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Yes, but please know that your name tag may reflect the registration name. You will have a chance to make your own name tag upon check-in if you prefer to edit or change this information.
