STEAM Outreach Council

The Beall Center for Art + Technology is the founding entity of the UC Irvine STEAM Outreach Council (STEAMOC) – which is comprised of staff and faculty representatives from more than ten departments across campus. With a special emphasis on K-12 STEAM Education (Science, Technology, Education, Art, and Mathematics), the STEAMOC’s collaborative programs challenge participants to think about interdisciplinary practices in their daily lives. By encouraging our visitors - children and adults alike - to think about the interconnectivity between STEAM disciplines, our free public programs offer hands-on creative learning opportunities with real-world applications. From STEAM campus tours to specially crafted private workshops, STEAMOC’s programming demonstrates the many pathways to college as well as inspiring careers in STEAM fields.
