Rebase: Activate presents a collection of works from four artists interested in revealing the relationships between perceived patterns and sonic activation. The works focus on physical manifestations of sound––through vibration and movement––rejecting the belief that sound is ephemeral or intangible. The artists ask similar questions related to relaying data and information via sound, and explore how sound is an important communication tool. This exhibition calls for a shift in sonic perception and attention, prompting viewers to engage with sound as a corporeal and visual experience.
