The Beall Center for Art + Technology provides ambitious S.T.E.A.M.-based educational programming for K-12 students, as well as UCI undergraduates and community educators. We rely on grants, sponsorships, and individual gifts to keep our programs running FREE of charge to our participants. With a special emphasis on underserved schools, community centers, and organizations, we strive to provide workshops, tours, and special events that focus on the intersections between science, technology, engineering, art, and math. You can help impact a future innovator's education by supporting the Beall Center today!
The UC Irvine Foundation (through which these donations are processed) is a 501c(3) non-profit organization. Your gift qualifies for tax-deduction in accordance with IRS regulations during the calendar year that you make your gift. Consult your tax professional for more information. Buy Art Supplies for the Maker Space ($50)
Sometimes technology is best expressed with a helping hand from the arts! Make sure our Maker Space is fully stocked with a diverse selection of art supplies for our Expressive Robotics camp students (ages 13-19).
You can make sure visitors of all ages know the inspiring history of art + technology. By sponsoring this program activity, you will ensure that we can continue to educate K-12 students, parents, and educators about this fascinating field at no cost.
Stock our 3D Printing Lab ($100)
Summer camp kids of all ages love our brand new mobile 3D printing lab! Our 3D printers help K-12 students learn CAD software, design principles, and art theory in addition to how this technology can be used in both creative and industrial settings. Talk about career development!
Rent a Bus for a Visiting Class ($600)
Even with our free public programs, we find that many classrooms cannot visit the UCI campus due to prohibitive transportation costs. By removing this barrier, we can help young students learn about the pathways to higher education by bringing them to campus. Help give K-12 students the university experience by transporting them to UCI for S.T.E.A.M.-focused campus tours, workshops, lectures, and exhibition tours!
Sponsor a Professional Development Workshop ($1,000)
Help us provide another free resource to our K-12 teachers, community center programming teams, and home-school parents that allows them to network with peers, find valuable resources for the classroom, and get S.T.E.A.M.-centric ideas for their lesson plans. Workshops are always hosted on weekends and evenings for busy professionals.
Give the gift of on-the-job training to one of our ten UCI undergraduate student docents. Our docents are extensively trained to work with visiting K-12 classes, lead exhibition tours, and work with professional artists. Through this program, they develop life-long professional skills such as public speaking, event planning, marketing, leadership, and teaching. This sponsorship helps the Beall Center provide additional training and working opportunities for our talented student staff so that they are best prepared for careers after graduating from UCI.
