Bio-Art Exhibit

We cordially invite you to attend a reception and interactive bio-art demonstration of Evidence — Works by Paul Vanouse, on Thursday, March 14th from 6-8 pm. Paul Vanouse is an acclaimed contemporary "bio-artist" who works with live tissues using scientific processes such as genetic engineering, tissue culture, and cloning to make art pieces. Mr. Vanouse's unique approach to art addresses complex issues raised by varied new techno-sciences. His electronic cinema, biological experiments and interactive installations have been shown widely throughout the U.S. and in more than 20 countries.

Evidence features Mr. Vanouse's recent projects, "Latent Figure Protocol", "Ocular Revision" and "Suspect Inversion Center" using molecular biology techniques to challenge "genome-hype" and to confront issues surrounding DNA fingerprinting. The event on March 14th will feature a live interactive performance by Mr. Vanouse.
