Call for Proposals
The Beall Center distributes two calls for proposals: one for exhibition of existing works and the other for research residencies for the production of new works.
Exhibition of Existing Works
The next call for exhibition proposals will occur in Januray of 2006, with decisions announced in October 20 2006. This will be for the exhibition year Fall 2007 - Spring 2008.
Research Residencies
The next call for research proposals will be distributed in April 2007 for residency in the Beall during the summer of 2007.
Selection Process
Both exhibition and research proposals are reviewed by the Beall Center Curatorial Advisory Board and final programming decisions are made by the Beall Center Executive Committee.
Criteria for Selection
Exhibitions and research projects proposed for the Beall Center are considered using the following criteria:
- Intellectual and artistic merit in the proposed project
- original artistic concept
- conceptual depth and well-crafted forms
- experiential impact
- Degree of technological innovation or new application of technology
- Appropriateness to Beall venue (scale of installation and use of Beall technology infrastructure
