EDDO STERN was born in Tel-Aviv and reared under the maelstrom of Middle Eastern ideological combat. He works with electronic warfare, video games, science fiction, foodstuffs and other forms of soft and hard propaganda. As a producer of culture he hacks code, develops computer games, builds computer installations, produces videos, and cooks public dinners. This summer (2000) he is tele-collaborating on a networked border-crossing computer game, working on a book on culinary colonialism, and involved in starting a collective mass-media laboratory in downtown Los Angels. His chosen consumptions are eating out, playing computer games, scouring the Internet, or reading philosophy, pulp sci-fi, intelligence journals, cookbooks and computer manuals.
