Linger

Linger attempts to create a slow, reflective experience in response to a fast-paced, efficient, consumer-driven society. Within the installation, people will have a chance to linger within the space as their interaction evolves over time into a slower mode of expression and contemplation.

About the artist

Margaret Watson is currently pursuing an MS in Engineering in the ACE program. Her graduate research focuses on the exploration of sensor and computer vision systems, spatial sound and human-centered interaction as components in creating interactive art installations. Related areas of study include Image Processing, Ubiquitous Computing, Interactive Sound and Human Perception. Prior to ACE, Margaret has received a MFA in Electronic Visualization from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a BSGS in Art with minors in German and Computer Information Systems from Delta State University in Mississippi.  http://turing.ace.uci.edu/~watson
