Infinicity The Infinicity project is an infinite (sub)urban space generated via semi-algorithmic means. As the viewer navigates the space, new content is generated via a combination of design and algoritmic generation. While the space is truly infinite, it is also consistent, and returning to the same region will yield the same results no matter how far you've journeyed in the interim. The viewer/participant, in addition to navigating the space by "walking" on a pressure-sensitive pad, can also alter the urbanity of the space as (s)he travels with the aid of a knob that can be rotated to make the space either more suburban or more urban.
About the artist Adrian Herbez is an aesthetic programmer concerned primarily with the creation and evolution of real-time interactive spaces and generative systems. He studied digital and electronic media at Carnegie Mellon University, graduating in 2001. Since then he has worked professionally producing both real-time and pre-rendederd content and teaching 3d animation. He has been part of the OmniCircus theater since 2000, where he builds and operates Virtual Puppets (VRpits) that integrate with live performance. He is currently persuing a Masters of Fine Art in the ACE program at the Univeristy of California, Irvine while continuing to teach Maya at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
